Jon Mud is a Tiktok creator who began uploading in 2020, he is commonly known for his humorous yet slightly dystopian work. He has created many personas amongst his videos, such as the fan beloved "elaborating guy" who is known for being quite elaborate. Despite being such an elaborate guy, the irony is that he does not elaborate on what he is being elaborate about. Jon Mud, while being commonly known for his art and videos, is also known for the small community of which he has created. In the community there is a popular emoji combo which consists of a potato and a red heart. This emoji combination is known as "spud love", it is a way of showing appreciation in the community. The opposite is spud hate, which is a potato with a broken heart next to it. In the community there is also another emoji combination which is a potato with TWO pink hearts next to it, it is known as "spud inspiration", this is used when someone will post a highly inspirational comment relating to spuds, spud love, or Jon Mud in general.
